LL87: Energy audits + retro-commissioning

Every 10 years, buildings 50,000 sqft or larger must file an Energy Efficiency Report — a professional energy audit plus a retro-commissioning report.

Schedule

Assigned by tax-block last digit. Each year, buildings whose tax block ends in that digit are due. Look up yours at DOB.

Cost

$5,000–$20,000+ for the audit and retro-commissioning combined, depending on building size and complexity.

Non-compliance

$3,000 first year late, $5,000/year after that.
