LL55 & LL1: Annual lead paint notices
compliance
If your NYC residential building was built before 1960, you must send every tenant an annual notice about lead paint hazards.
When
By February 15 each year. Also on every lease renewal and every move-in.
What it does
Asks the tenant whether a child under 6 lives in or regularly visits the unit. If yes, you must inspect the unit annually for peeling paint and lead hazards.
Penalty for skipping
HPD Class C violations, civil penalties starting at $250 per notice missed, and personal injury liability if a child is later found lead-poisoned.
What Pijexa does
We auto-schedule the Feb 15 reminder for every pre-1960 property in your account. You get an email 30 days before, so there's time to print notices, mail them, and file returned acknowledgments.
